As
with any start-up business, word-of-mouth and the press can wind up
being man's best friends. This has never been more true than
in the story of Three Dog Bakery.
It all started when reporter Richard
Gibson got the dog rolling with a featured article in the Wall
Street Journal. Dan and Mark couldn't help but notice the
immediate effects when a drastic increase in phone orders started
coming in from around the U.S.
Next thing they knew, the press was
literally clawing at a chance to be the next to interview the young,
self-proclaimed "entredogneurs." Naturally, when Oprah Winfrey
called, the Three Dog crew was jumping through hoops in excitement
over the possibility of 40 million viewers getting a glimpse of
their new creations.
Since then, Dan, Mark and the girls have
gone on to be featured in articles in People Magazine, the New York
Times, the LA Times, the Boston Globe, Forbes and hundreds of other
puplications. Plus they've appeared on The Today Show, Late
Night with Conan O'Brien, CNN, the BBC, NPR, PBS, and 18
thirty-minute specials aired on the Food Network.
It's amazing how fast the nation has
snuggled up to Three Dog Bakery. But when you've got a totally
unique product that appeals to so many dog lovers, people just can't
stop barking about it. Here's a taste of what's been said.
"Kansas City's Three Dog Bakery pampers
the palates of man's best friends!" - People Magazine
"As usual, everything's up-to-date in
Kansas City, where Three Dog Bakery is producing delicacies for
dogs!" - The New York Times
"It's a dog's world at Three Dog Bakery,
where the customers can sniff out their favorite treats!" - CNN
"At last, the place that dogs have been
praying for!" - NBC's The Today Show
